Our Staff

Wyvern has a strong staff team of dedicated people who all work closely together to deliver the best for the children.

We are an infant school catering for children from Nursery (aged 2) through to Year 2 (aged 7)

Wyvern is going from strength to strength - even Ofsted said so!  Our school is 'good' with highly effective teaching and we are rightfully proud of what we have achieved.

Fun and laughter, mess and exploration!

We have a wonderful Nursery setting and offer a safe, friendly, inclusive and nurturing environment for your two-year-old.  Close connections and opportunities for interaction between our Nursery and our Preschool help to support smooth transitions and ensures your child is ready for the next step in their early education.

Our teacher-led Preschool (from the term after their 3rd birthday to starting Reception) offers great learning opportunities, a huge, fantastic space and the perfect friendly, inclusive environment for your child. With strong links to Reception, your child will be ready for the best possible start to their education.

Our Nursery and Preschool have amazing, experienced teams who can’t wait to meet you and your child, come and have a look for yourself at what we have to offer!

Our main school promotes progress through a mix of play and structured learning sessions building their knowledge and understanding while keeping fun and experience at the heart of learning. We are thrilled to offer your children a five year educational journey to give them the optimal foundations to build upon when they move up to our federated Junior School: Bushfield.

    Working Partnerships

We make sure we have strong links with other schools and agencies to ensure the best support for our children.  This includes a close working partnership with the Local Council and their various departments such as Admissions, Attendance and the Inclusion and Assessment team.   We also have strong links with our other local cluster of schools (Radcliffe, Greenleys, Haversham etc.) whom we meet regularly and discuss developments in teaching and learning and communal events that we can all attend.

We are also proactive in seeking specialist advice and support from private agencies where needed such as Play Therapists, Educational Psychologists and Pupil Referral Unit (Milton Keynes Primary Pupil Referral Unit, URN 134310, Shenley Road, Milton Keynes, MK3 7AW).

These links help form a supportive community of educationalists from whom we can share and draw support as needed.
